This new-build home in Pickering was a full millwork design project, covering both the main and second floors. Our scope included the kitchen, TV wall unit, master ensuite, and walk-in closet. The clients gravitated toward a classic style with contemporary undertones, and the material palette reflected that: painted MDF cabinetry paired with warm white oak veneer accents.
To ensure a cohesive flow between spaces, we mirrored materials—bringing the white oak used in the kitchen island into the adjacent wall unit. This not only visually tied the two areas together, but also introduced a refined balance between softness and structure throughout the open-concept floor plan.
The result is a timeless and thoughtfully layered interior, where classic detailing meets modern functionality.
